Randy Travis’ life appears to be spinning out of control. The country singer has been arrested twice this year for public intoxication and and was arrested again on Thursday following an argument at a church in Plano, TX.

According to the Dallas Morning News, police responded to a disturbance at the Prestonwood Baptist Church between what was determined to be an estranged husband and wife. The woman is Travis’ current girlfriend.
Police spokesman David Tilley said:
During our investigation we determined Mr. Travis at some point physically assaulted an individual who was there. He was issued a citation for Class C simple assault, which in Texas can be anything from an an unwanted push to a strike that didn’t cause pain or injury. Everybody refused transport. Nobody wanted to go to hospital.
Everyone is making the assumption that he was extremely intoxicated, as TMZ put it. I’ve got the report, and there’s no indication he was intoxicated at all. Was he? I don’t know, but the report doesn’t say he was.
He also stated that the situation was “nothing more than what we deal with on a regular basis — a disturbance. It so happens this one involves a high-profile person.”
