A private jet carrying the bands Ratt and Dokken was forced to land Saturday afternoon when the smell of smoke was detected in the cabin.
The plane had taken off from the Moline, IL airport but, at 7,000 feet, the pilots smelled smoke in the pilot’s cabin. They immediately turned the plane around and made a fast landing. According to sources, the smoke did not enter the passenger cabin where 13 people were riding.
Ratt posted on their official Facebook page “Ratt and Dokken just made an emergency landing after a fire in the cockpit. We are ok!”
The bands were loaded into SUVs and driven to the Chicago suburb of Wauconda for an outdoor show on Saturday night that will also include Sebastian Bach, Lita Ford and Warrant. Ratt posted “On the way to Wauconda. The tour rolls on. Rockin the Farm.”
