The annual Reclink Community cup will return to Collingswood’s Victoria Park on Sunday June 24.

The Reclink Community Cup teams the music industry Rockdogs with music media Megahertz for a day of fine footy.

“Once again in the depth of Melbourne’s winter our heats will be warmed by the passion and energy that the Rockdogs and Megahertz bring to the annual iconic event – the Reclink Community Cup.” says Reclink Australia’s CEO, John Ballis. “Reclink Australia is grateful for the generosity and support provided by our event partners community radio stations Triple R and PBS and the Rockdogs; and our national sponsors the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation and Young Henry’s”.

Reclink Community Cup

Funds raised through the Reclink Community Cup support Reclink Australia’s work with disadvantaged communities across Australia. Reclink Australia delivers specialist sport, recreation and arts programs for at-risk youth, people with mental illness or disability, people experiencing homelessness and domestic violence, and those facing alcohol, gambling and substance addictions. From its inception back in 1993, the Melbourne event now rallies more than 10,000 avid followers who collectively raise over $200,000 every year for the cause.

After a complete sell-out in 2017, punters are advised to pre-purchase their tickets for the cup well in advance to avoid disappointment.

Tickets to the Melbourne Reclink Community Cup now on sale via Oztix communitycup.oztix.com.au – $20 incl fees online, $20 at the gate.

The Cat Empire Origins Came From Real Musicians Playing Real Music At All Hours of the Night

When The Cat Empire’s first album reached no 15 on the Australian chart and the second went to number one there was no-one more surprised than them. The Cat Empire were not set up as a “op” band. They were jazz musicians playing jazz music in late night bars in Melbourne and the audience loved it.
