Record Store Ambassador 2017 Anthony Albanese MP spreads the word for 2019

by Paul Cashmere on April 12, 2019

in News

Saturday 13 April 2019 is Record Store Day and while Federal MP Anthony Albanese is campaigning for the good of the nation, he is also campaigning for another successful Record Store Day.

“Independent record stores are vital to Australia’s musical culture and are part of the fabric of local communities,” Anthony Albanese MP said in a statement.

Record stores are a vital part of the Arts Community. “They create jobs, support local bands and provide a place where music lovers can engage with others who share their interests,” he said.

Albo is a regular at his local record store in his inner Sydney seat of Grayndler. “For me, a record store is a like an oasis. It’s a place where you can get away from whatever else is going on for a while and lose yourself.

“Even when I don’t have a particular purchase in mind, there is always something in a record store that grabs my interest,” he added.
