When you head to Big Day Out take note of the Red Hot Chili Peppers backdrop. It will feature digital art from Sea Shepherd Australia.
Anthony Kiedis is a Director of Sea Shepherd.
In early 2012, the band made a public announcement that called on German authorities to stop the extradition of Captain Paul Watson to Costa Rica, saying, “The Red Hot Chili Peppers are longtime supporters of Sea Shepherd, Captain Watson and the wonderful work they do to save our ocean and protecting marine wildlife globally.”
About Sea Shepherd Conservation Society Australia:
Established in 1977, Sea Shepherd Conservation Society Australia is an international non-profit conservation organization whose mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world’s oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species. Sea Shepherd Australia uses innovative direct-action tactics to investigate, document, and take action when necessary to expose and confront illegal activities on the high seas. By safeguarding the biodiversity of our delicately balanced oceanic ecosystems, Sea Shepherd Australia works to ensure their survival for future generations.
