Red Hot Summer hits up the Central Coast and Gold Coast this weekend

Suzi Quatro and The Angels will spend a Red Hot Summer on the Central Coast and Gold Coast this weekend.

With more Red Hot Summer sell-out shows on the way and Suzi Quatro only playing for regional Australia on this Red Hot Summer tour it has been an interesting second series of Red Hot Summer 2019.

For starters, Suzi Quatro has a new song ‘No Soul/No Control’ for the tour and she isn’t afraid to flaunt it.

Dave Gleeson is also getting a work-out fronting two bands The Angels and The Screaming Jets.

This series of Red Hot Summer also has Baby Animals fresh off the release of their first Greatest Hits album, Moving Pictures with Alex Smith just ahead of the release of his first ever solo album, Jon Stevens with his solo and Noiseworks hits and a very well oiled Chocolate Starship, who have also been out in recent times performing Meat Loaf’s Bat Out of Hell and INXS’ Kick.

The First Hour of The First Day On 2JJ (Double J) Sydney 19 January 2025

Double J was a Sydney only radio station when it first went to air at 11am on 19 January 1975. The first song played was Skyhooks ‘You Just Like Me ‘Cos I’m Good In Bed’ chosen because it was Australian, it was rebellious (because the song was banned at the time which reflected the rebellious image of the station) and being part of the ABC was not subject to the licencing laws of the commercial radio stations.
