Remarkable Insight About Prince The Humanitarian By Van Jones

Political activist, commentator and author Van Jones has opened up for the first time about the secret contributor to his humanitarian causes. It was Prince.

“He also was an incredible humanitarian. He was a Jehovah’s Witness so he was not allowed to speak public about any of his charitable activities,” Jones said.

Jones has served as the Special Advisor for Green Jobs for President Barack Obama and was listed in the Top 100 Most Influential People In The World by Time magazine in 2009 and has now confirmed that the backer for his work was Prince.

“He supported and helped build ‘#YesWeCode’,” Jones told CNN. “‘Yes We Code’ has 15 technology companies working with kids in the ‘hood getting them ready to have jobs in Silicon Valley. He worked for something called ‘Green 4 All’. There are people who have solar panels on their houses in Oakland California that they don’t know Prince paid for.”

After the death of Prince Van Jones told his story to Don Lemon on CNN. “He was there for us when we were down,” Jones said. “Anybody struggling anywhere in the world he was sending cheques, he was making phone-calls, but he did not want it to be known publically and he did not want us to say it. But I’m going to say it because the world needs to know that it wasn’t just the music. The music was one way he tried to help the world but he was helping every single day of his life.”
