Australian rock legend Richard Clapton will head out of another national tour in September, celebrating over 40 years on the road.

Richard Clapton’s first album ‘Prussian Blue’ was released in 1973 but at the time went relatively unnoticed. The title track of the follow-up ‘Girls On The Avenue’ in 1975 went on to become one of the greatest Australian songs of all-time.

Clapton created a diamond mine of Oz rock classics over the years including ‘Capricorn Dancer’, ‘Deep Water’, ‘Down In The Lucky Country’, ‘I Am An Island’ and ‘Best Years Of Our Lives’.

His last album ‘The House of Orange’, recorded in Nashville and funded by fans, was one of the most musically creative records of his career.

Richard Clapton dates

Saturday 2 September, Twin Towns, Gold Coast
Saturday 9 September, State Theatre, Sydney
Saturday 16 September, The Forum, Melbourne
Friday 20 October, The Gov, Adelaide
Friday 17 November, The Tivoli, Queensland
