Richard Clapton will perform for the first time at Melbourne Recital Centre in November, bring the Songbook to one of Melbourne’s most revered stages.
Richard has just released his ‘House of Orange’ album, a labour of love funded by fans and recorded in Nashville. ‘House of Orange’ bookends where Richard began musically with ‘Prussian Blue’ 43 years ago.
The ‘Songbook’ show features decades of Clapton classics including ‘I am an Island’, ‘The Best Years of our Lives’, ‘Capricorn Dancer’, ‘Girls on the Avenue’, ‘Glory Road’, ‘Goodbye Tiger’, ‘Trust Somebody’, ‘Get Back to the Shelter’, ‘Down in the Lucky Country’ and some new tracks from House of Orange.
