Richard Marx Puts Ignorant Gun Tooting Fan Back In His Place

by Paul Cashmere on June 17, 2016

in News

Richard Marx has exchanged words with an ignorant, gun tooting fan who accused the singer of being “holier than thou about my rights to own a gun”.

The fan, Tim Van Surksum, started an abusive rant at Marx after the Orlando shooting last weekend after Richard posted “As I’m currently in Australia, read this. They got it right here in 1996 after a mass shooting. Why can’t the US wake up? Shame on our congress for allowing more death to appease archaic thinking and special interests”.

Earlier he posted “every one of the 60 members of the Senate who voted against the Assault Weapons Ban in 2013 and defeated it” … “had blood on their hands”.

The articulate Tim Van Surksum spewed “Fuck you Richard. Like your music, not your holier than thou about my rights to own a gun….sad to unfollow….but it must be done….”

Richard didn’t hold back responding “No, Tim. Fuck you. Banning semi automatic rifles and assault weapons is not the same as taking away YOUR right to own a weapon if you register and license it. But people like you are so drunk on ignorance and Kool Aid you lose the ability to read or reason. Good riddance”.

Richard Marx made the comments the day after the Orlando shooting that killed 49. Since the Orlando shooting on June 12, 2016 there have been another five mass shootings in the USA.
