Richie Sambora is playing a decent slab of Bon Jovi on his current Australia tour as well as a few well-placed covers by Prince, Hendrix and INXS.

Sambora is performing his first-ever solo shows in Australia as part of the Soundwave Festival and has also done his own gigs in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

The Sydney show at the Enmore Theatre featured a guest appearance by INXS’ Jon Farriss who performed the INXS classic ‘Don’t Change’ with the former Bon Jovi guitarist.

As well as Jimi Hendrix ‘Voodoo Child’ and Prince ‘Purple Rain’ Sambora played six Bon Jovi songs through-out his 16-song set.

Sambora surprised Bon Jovi fans when he walked out of the band midway through their world tour in 2013.
