Ringo Starr has passed the milestone 1,000,000 Twitter followers and celebrated with a special Peace & Love fruit salad.

“Peace and love to my 1 million followers wow,” Ringo posted to his fans.

Yes we know one million followers is nothing compared to Britney Spears but Ringo did it without dancing around Jimmy Kimmel’s bedroom in his underwear.

While George Harrison was known as The Quiet Beatle Ringo has likewise had a few quiet achievements along the way. He was the first Beatle to have a string of continuous solo hits in the USA ‘It Don’t Come Easy’, ‘Back Off Boogaloo’, ‘Photograph’, ‘You’re Sixteen’, Oh My My’, ‘Only You’, ‘Snookeroo’ and ‘No No Song’ all becoming Top 10 hits in succession in the USA giving Ringo The Beatles’ record to this day … Eight in a Row.

Paul McCartney has had four Top 10 hits in a row starting from December 1972. They were ‘Hi Hi Hi’, ‘My Love’, Live and Let Die’ and ‘Helen Wheels’.

John Lennon managed two Top 10 US hits in row twice, first with ‘Whatever Gets You Thru The Night’ and ‘#9 Dream’ then ‘Just Like Starting Over’ and ‘Woman’.

George Harrison only ever managed two Top 10 US hits in a row once with ‘My Sweet Lord’ and ‘What Is Life’.
