Ringo Starr turned 76 with an all-star gathering including Australia’s Jon Stevens teaming up with Dave Stewart for a stab at ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’ and the ‘No No Song’.
The rich and famous gathered to wish Ringo a happy 75th outside the Capitol Records building in Hollywood. The famous included Stevens, Stewart, Richard Marx, Eric Burdon, Joe Walsh, Benmont Tench, Edgar Winter, Jim Keltner, Richard Lewis, Howie Mandel, David Lynch, Richard Page and Greg Bissonette. The rich was a very large birthday cake bursting with calories.
Ringo has been throwing his all-starr parties outside Capitol Records since 2008. The event is streamed live to spread “peace and love” around the world.
Other guests Vandaveer played “Don’t Pass Me By” and “Photograph,” and Alberta Cross played “It Don’t Come Easy” and “You Can’t Stop Lightning.”
Ringo is about to head out on another world tour with dates across America before heading off to Japan and Korea later in the year.
