Rita Ora has apologised for cancelling her performance tonight.
The British singer was due to sing for around 8,000 fans at a race meeting in Haydock Park, England, tonight.
However, the 22-year-old has had to pull out due to illness.
“I would never do this unless I physically had too and in this situation I unfortunately do. I am so so sorry for cancelling my shows… This weekend I’ve never and will never not perform unless I physically can’t put on a good show for you I have a bad infection in the throat… And chest. I am so sorry and as soon as I get better I will make it up to you. I promise. I love you. Rita. (sic)” the star wrote on Twitter.
Rita’s management company released a statement on her behalf this morning, which said she was “devastated” about not being able to perform.
According to the statement, doctors insisted she was not well enough to sing.
Earlier this week the bubbly blonde seemed in good health as she was spotted in the gym with boxing champion David Haye.
The sportsman posted a video of the two stars having a friendly fight on Instagram.
“Sparring with my girl @RitaOra Damn she packs a punch!!! (sic)” he jokingly captioned the clip.
In September Rita will be performing at The O2 arena in London at Unity – a Concert for Stephen Lawrence.
