Rob Thomas will pop at in a Melbourne Shopping Centre to perform a free show in May.
Thomas will make a quick trip to Australia for talk up his fourth solo album ‘Chip Tooth Smile. On Wednesday, 1 May, he will perform at the Eastland Shopping Centre in the Melbourne suburb of Ringwood.
Thomas still fronts Matchbox Twenty but the band has been relatively inactive since the 2012 release ‘North’. In 2016 founding member Kyle Cook announced he had left the band but was back for a series of dates in 2017. Rhythm guitarist Adam Gaynor left in 2005, so musically only missed the ‘North’ album and the new tracks from the Best of ‘Exile on Mainstream’.
Rob’s new album ‘Chip Tooth Smile’ evens the score between solo and Matchbox Twenty albums at four apiece.
‘Chip Tooth Smile’ was produced by former Marvelous 3 singer Butch Walker. Walker has produced albums for Sevendust, The Donnas, Avril Lavigne, Weezer and Panic! At the Disco.
