Rob Thomas has new music on the way next week.

The new song is expected to be called ‘One Less Day. The video was directed by veteran British music video maker Andy Morahan who directed the classic ‘Last Christmas’ video for Wham as well as videos for Pet Shop Boys, OMD, Lloyd Cole, Ozzy Osbourne, The Human League, Cyndi Lauper, Tina Turner, Van Halen, Spandau Ballet, Simple Minds, Billy Joel, Guns N Roses and Paul McCartney.

His new work with Rob Thomas marks a return to music video making. He last worked with Meat Loaf and Matt Cardle in 2010.

Rob’s last album ‘The Great Unknown’ was released in 2015. The last Matchbox Twenty album ‘North’ was released in 2012.

Matchbox Twenty toured in the USA in 2017 with Kyle Cook who only the previous year had announced he was leaving the band.

The Libertines, Reverend and the Makers, The Forum, Tuesday 15th April, 2025

In 2004, The Libertines toured Australia for the first time, without Pete Doherty, due to his drug addictions. Since then, Doherty has toured with the band notably in 2018, where they also played the Forum and, on this sold-out show, clearly devoid of drugs and shenanigans of the past, the two albeit more mature founding members Doherty and Barat have well and truly buried the hatchet.
