Robbie Williams has delivered a Christmas message as he tops the UK Christmas chart.
Williams may not have gotten the Christmas number 1 on the Singles chart, but he does top the album chart for the second week in a row and third week overall with Swings Both Ways.
The rest of the top five veteran artists only strayed by, at most, one spot this week with Gary Barlow holding steady at 3, Celine Dion moving up from 8 to 7, Elvis Presley dropping 10 to 11 and Rod Stewart falling 12 to 13.
There are no new albums by veteran artists this week. The top five albums stayed the same with Williams, One Direction, Barlow, Olly Murs and Beyonce.
The campaign to make AC/DC the Christmas Number One fell short with Highway to Hell coming in at number 4 for the week; however, it is the highest the group has ever been on the British singles chart. The title went to recent X-Factor winner Sam Bailey and Skyscraper followed by Pharrell Williams’ Happy and Leona Lewis’ One More Sleep.
Mariah Carey once again leads the veteran Christmas singles with All I Want For Christmas Is You at 13 followed by the Pogues with Kirsty MacColl’s Fairtale of New York at 14.
