Robbie Williams To Release Surprise New Album On Monday

Robbie Williams will release a special album for fans on Monday that he describes as “loads and loads of songs that I’ve written that I’m incredibly passionate about. I want you to hear them, otherwise they’re just going to remain in my computer!”

Included are b-sides, demos and other tracks that failed to make official releases. Williams says in the video below that “I’ll let you into a secret, Guy Chambers isn’t happy with me putting these songs on this album, He thinks I’m a lunatic for not putting them on an album that we’ve promoted with TV performances and at radio stations and a big tour. But I’m an impetuous bugger, and I want them out now, now, now!”

The album is being released the same date as Williams’ former group, Take That, releases their first album as a trio, Take That III. As Under the Radar, Volume 1 will be available exclusively through Williams’ store and not through traditional retailers, it is doubtful that there will be any challenge to the group’s release, although there are indications that a bigger digital release for the Williams album may be coming a week later on December 8.

Williams will do a chat on Monday where he says he will be making an announcement on another secret project.

Under the Radar, Volume 1 will be available as a download, CD and signed CD.
