‘Blurred Lines’ popstar Robin Thicke has recorded a cover of the 1980 Christopher Cross hit ‘Ride Like The Wind’ with Will Ferrell’s newsreader character Ron Burgundy.
The Thicke/Burgundy version of the classic hit will appear on the soundtrack for the upcoming ‘Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues’ soundtrack.
The album will also feature Paul Rudd’s character Brian Fantana performing ‘Ladykillers’, Brick Tamland (Steve Carrell) with ‘RV Reminiscing’ and Champ Kind (David Koechner) with ‘Whammy Chicken’.
The real songs on the album are the classic hits of the 70s and 80s including the original Cross version of ‘Ride Like The Wind’ as well as songs from The Captain & Tennille, Argent, England Dan & John Ford Coley, Kenny Loggings and Neil Diamond.
The soundtrack is due mid-December.
