After a decade Rod Stewart has left J. Records and has a new home at Universal Music.
The first project on the new label with be Rod Stewart’s first ever Christmas album, to be produced by David Foster.
Universal Chairman and CEO Lucian Grainge made the announcement jointly with Rod and his manager Arnold Stiefel.
“I’ve known Rod and Arnold for many years and have been wanting to work with them for some time,” stated Mr. Grainge. “Rod possesses one of pop music’s most inventive and memorable voices; and we’re delighted to be part of the next great chapter in his already storied career.”

Next month Rod will reunite with Stevie Nicks for his Heart & Soul tour and return to Las Vegas in September for a residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
He will also release his first autobiography later this year followed by the Christmas album.
