Rod Stewart’s acclaimed new album ‘Time’ has just gone Platinum. ‘Time’ was Rod’s first number one UK album in 34 years and was top five for 12 consecutive weeks.
Dickon Stainer, President of Decca Records said, ‘Rod’s songwriting has truly galvanised public and critics alike. Like Rod’s greatest works, ‘Time’ is finding its own special route straight to the heart. It’s that old fashioned thing, a true word-of-mouth hit.’
2013 has been a great year for Rod Stewart whose Live the Life tour has
been playing to sell out crowds around the world and picking up great
reviews. He returns to the UK next month for nine UK Arena dates including two more shows at the O2 September 20th and 21st.
‘Time’ marks a welcome return to songwriting for Rod Stewart who wrote and produced 11 of the 12 tracks on this new disc. A new single, ‘Brighton Beach’, one of the many album highlights, is released on Decca September 23rd.
In a career spanning four decades, he has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, crowned a Grammy Living Legend, and sold an estimated 150 million records worldwide.
