Austin music legend Rosie Flores will ‘Working Girl’s Guitar’, her first album in three years, next month.
‘Working Girl’s Guitar’ is the 11th album for the Austin icon who showcased at SXSW this year.
The album also marks the first time she has handed all of the production and guitar on one of her albums.
The Texan born Rosie started out in the Los Angeles New Traditionalist scene and moved back to Austin where Austin City Council now declares a Rosie Flores Day on August 31.
Her 1995 album ‘Rockabilly Filly’ featured duets with Janis Martin and Wanda Jackson inspiring both stars to come out of retirement. Rosie recorded the album The Blanco Sessions for Janis just six months before Martin’s death. It was released this month through Cow Island Music.
‘Working Girl’s Guitar’ will be released through Bloodshot Records on October 16.
