Mark Ronson has produced the next Rufus Wainwright album.
‘Out of the Game’ will be the seventh studio album from Wainwright. Rufus calls it “the most pop album I’ve ever made.”
“It’s the best work of my career,” he adds.
The album was recorded mid to late last year in New York. Musicians on the record include the Dap-Kings, Wilco’s Nels Cline, Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Nick Zinner, Andrew Wyatt from Miike Snow, Sean Lennon and Rufus’ sister Martha Wainwright.
Ronson says the record has “a real 70s, Laurel Canyon feel”.
Expect the ‘Out of the Game’ album May 1 through Universal’s Decca label.
