RUMOUR: AC/DC To Announce World Tour Next Week

AC/DC may announce a world tour as early as next week if rumours are true.

While still highly speculative, metal site Blabbermouth has picked up on a story from Kansas radio station V100 stating that the AC/DC tour will be announced next Wednesday, July 17.

We do know that AC/DC were working on a new album in Vancouver in October 2018. The album does feature previously departed members Brian Johnson, Phil Rudd and Cliff Williams. Williams left after the last tour, Johnson was replaced with Axl Rose when his voice packed in and Rudd was sacked after his legal issues in New Zealand.

The new album is expected to be made around unreleased guitar pieces by the band’s late co-founder Malcolm Young. Malcolm died on 18 November 2017.

AC/DC’s last show was 20 September 2016 in Philadelphia. Angus Young joined Guns N’ Roses on stage in Melbourne on 14 February, 2017 and performed the AC/DC classics ‘Whole Lotta Rosie’ and ‘Riff Raff’.
