Russell Crowe is one of Marcia Hines’ collaborators on her new album ‘Amazing’.
The inner Sydney city neighbours often bump into each other in the street and Marcia invited Russell to drop by for the song ‘Remedy’.
“All I can say is he blew us away,” Marcia said in a statement. “He came into the studio totally prepared and he knew his stuff, and that’s one of the many, many reasons why he is where his song ‘Testify’ with his band is today”.
It wasn’t the first time Russell and Marcia have sung together. She appeared on one of his band Russell Crowe and the Ordinary Fear of God.
“I sang with Russell some time ago and really enjoyed it, so when we wrote ‘Remedy’, we were thinking about all these people that I could sing this duet with, and one morning it came to me, “why not just ask Russell to do the song”. He said yes after hearing it, and as they say in the classics, the rest is history.
Marcia Hines ‘Amazing’ will be released this Friday, April 4, 2014.
