Russell Morris Black and Blue Heart Debuts at no 3 Australian Albums and no 12 Overall

Russell Morris has scored his highest chart position for a Rock album since his first album ‘Bloodstone’ in 1971.

‘Black and Blue Heart’ has debuted at no. 12 on the ARIA Album Chart and no. 3 on the Australian Artists album chart.

The Australian Artist Chart position is of interest as the only two acts higher than him, Hilltop Hoods and Dean Lewis are half the age of the 70-year-old Australian rock legend.

‘Black and Blue Heart’ is a return to contemporary rock for Russell after three award winning Blues albums ‘Sharkmouth’, ‘Van Diemen’s Land’ and ‘Red Dirt Red Heart’. The new album was produced by Bernard Fanning of Powderfinger and Nick DiDia (Pearl Jam/Bruce Springsteen).

You can hear Russell talk about every song on Black and Blue Heart until 20 April, 2019 on Noise11 iHeartRadio.
