Sam Smith ‘In The Lonely Hour’ is once again the number one album in the UK.
‘In The Lonely Hour’ was a worldwide hit for Smith in 2014. The album was second biggest seller of the year in the UK, third in the USA and sixth in Australia.
Sam Smith had his first taste of fame in 2012 as featured single on Disclosure’s ‘Latch’. In 2013, Naughty Boys ‘La La La’, gave Smith his second hit as a featured singer.
Smith’s debut ‘In The Lonely Hour’ was released in May, 2014 and has now generated five hit singles ‘Lay Me Down’, ‘Money On My Mind’, ‘Stay With Me’, ‘I’m Not The Only One’ and the current hit ‘Like I Can’.
‘In The Lonely Hour’ is also sitting currently at no 3 on Australia’s ARIA chart after generating a further 3788 sales nationally last week.
The album has spent five non-consecutive weeks at no. 1 in the UK and has been in the UK Top 10 for the past 33 weeks.
‘Stay With Me’ and ‘Money On Your Mind’ were also UK number one singles in 2014.
