Sammy Hagar has recorded a supergroup cover version of Depeche Mode’s ‘Personal Jesus’ for his next album.
Hagar has called in his famous friends for his first solo album in 5 years including Neal Schon of Journey, Michael Anthony of Van Halen and Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers for the Depeche Mode cover.
‘Personal Jesus’ has been covered by Johnny Cash and Marilyn Manson.
‘Sammy Hagar and Friends’ has an all-star cast with Toby Keith, Taj Mahal and Mickey Hart being the latest recruitments for the album. Kid Rock, Joe Satriani, Ronnie Dunn and Chad Smith also appear on the album.
‘Sammy Hagar and Friends’ will be released in September.
