Scott Carne can’t recall if it was 1987 or 1988 when Kids In The Kitchen last played. Whatever, it will be 28 years at least since Kids In The Kitchen’s last show when they reform for Pure Gold Live in May.
Carne has stories about the incredible rise of the Melbourne 80s pop band that was signed to a major US record label and then looked after by Madonna’s manager. They recorded at Nile Rodgers studio and spent more money on one song than Australian bands at the time spent on two albums.
Also at Noise11 iHeartRadio this week Jon George of RuFus is along talking about their no 1 album ‘Bloom’ and upcoming US shows including Coachella.
You’ll also hear the Noise11 interview with Carlos Santana when he first confirmed the reformation of his original band with Neal Schon and we’ll preview the first song from the upcoming ‘Santana IV’ album.
