Creed frontman Scott Stapp has addressed his years of arrests and breakdowns, “a very public relapse,” and the bipolar diagnosis that almost ended his marriage — and his life.
“I was out of my mind, unstable, and at risk of putting myself in danger,” Stapp reveals in the Oct. 3 issue of Billboard, which hits newsstands tomorrow.
In an unusual interview, Stapp is joined by his wife, Jaclyn Stapp, about how the two of them endured Season Six of the VH1 reality show Couples Therapy, premiering Oct. 7.
“We’re proud we survived,” Jaclyn said. “I’m proud for my kids to see it…We’re not as crazy as Janice Dickinson.”
Scott Stapp says there’s even hope of another Creed record:
“We’re all communicating. And that’s where it all starts.”
