A spokesperson for Seal revealed in a press release that the filming of talent quest show The Voice is what has caused the rescheduling of his February tour. He will be a judge on the show alongside Keith Urban, Good Charlotte’s Joel Madden, and Delta Goodrem.

Seal said himself, “I’m so excited to be going back and forth to Australia over the coming 5 months filming The Voice and touring. I’m really sorry we’ve had to move the dates, but hopefully it hasn’t put anyone out, and we’ll just make sure the shows are even better to make up for it!”

Tickets for the former dates will be valid for the new run, and they plan to add a Gold Coast dates, with details to follow.

Canberra and Melbourne fans will be contacted to transfer their tickets to their new venues, and new seats for those shows will go on sale this Friday 10 February from Ticketek and Ticketmaster respectively.

Tickets are still available for the Adelaide and Perth shows through Ticketek and the Sydney show through Ticketmaster.

The new tour dates are as follows.

Seal Rescheduled Dates 2012
Sunday 8 April – Royal Theatre, Canberra
Tuesday 10 & Thursday 12 April – Palais Theatre, Melbourne
Wednesday 11 April – Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Adelaide
Saturday 14 April – Sandalford Estate, Perth
Thursday 19 April – Sydney Entertainment Centre, Sydney
