Lou Barlow’s other band Sebadoh will tour Australia next March.
Barlow has had Sebadoh in hiatus as a live act for the past seven years and the band has just released ‘Defend Yourself’, their first album in 14 years.
Sebadoh formed in Massachusetts as a creative outlet for Barlow. Barlow was Dinosaur Jr’s bass player. That band was lead by J. Mascis, who also wrote all of the songs.
The current Sebadoh line-up features Barlow with Jason Lowenstein and Bob D’Amico (drums). D’Amico also plays with Lowenstein in Circle of Buzzards and Fiery Furnaces. He replaced original member Eric Gaffney.
Sebadoh dates are:
March 21, Melbourne, Corner Hotel
March 22, Sydney, Annandale Hotel
March 23, Brisbane, The Zoo
March 25, Perth, Rosemount
