Sevendust have been removed from the Soundwave line-up in what promoter A.J. Maddah calls a “pissweak” situation.

Maddah told his listener followers that the departure of Sevendust from Soundwave was over money.

“They confirmed and then yesterday said you either give us a lot more money or we’ll cancel,” A.J. said in a tweet.

“They contacted us yesterday asking for more money again and we had to draw the line somewhere,” he wrote.

Sevendust will much more polite in their announcement to fans. “Due to issues out of our control, we regrettably must pull out of Soundwave 2014. Apologies to our Australian fans, we hope to see you soon,” they posted to their Twitter account.

Maddah made it quite clear that he will never book Sevendust again. “honestly, I can’t be bothered to work with them again. As they say, you don’t negotiate w terrorists,” he posted.

Green Day will headline Soundwave in Australia February and March 2014.

Soundwave dates

February 22, Brisbane, RNA Showgrounds
February 23, Sydney, Olympic Park
February 28, Melbourne, Flemington Racecourse
March 1, Adelaide, Bonython Park
March 3, Perth, Claremont Showgrounds
