Shakespeare’s Sister have reformed after 26 years

Marcella Detroit and Siobhan Fahey are once again Shakespear’s Sister.

After word started surfacing last week that the dynamic duo were getting back together Detroit and Fahey have confirmed the reunion and have announced a UK tour.

Shakespear’s Sister formed in 1988 after Fahey left Bananarama. She had initially planned on it being her solo project but then recruited American Marcella Detroit to make it a duo.

Shakespear’s Sister released two albums ‘Sacred Heart’ (1989) and ‘Hormonally Yours’ (1992). They had a global Top 10 hit with ‘Stay’.

After tensions between the two rose in 1993 Shakespear’s Sister was put on hiatus before a final breakup was announced some months after.

Fahey decided to resurrect the Shakepear’s Sister name and recorded three solo albums ‘#3’ (2004), ‘Songs from the Red Room’ (2009) and ‘Cosmic Dancer’ (2011) using the name.

Fahey and Detroit had not spoken for 25 years

Toto Returns To Melbourne #Review

Toto’s 2025 setlist focuses on the heritage of the band. The setlist was interesting. Compared to how it was curated for Australia in 2019 this time Toto kept to the albums of the 1900s. Mind you, there were no complaints from the audience for doing that. The biggest hits came from those early years.
