Shane Nicholson and Gregory Page will play dates in Australia together from the end of January.
San Diego based singer songwriter Gregory Page met Australia’s Shane Nicholson at the Tamworth Country Music Festival earlier this year. They became close friends.
On a previous tour of Australia Gregory met the legendary Bill Chambers. He recalled for the San Diego Troubadour, “I had the good fortune to become friends with some incredible musicians, including Australia’s country music family, Bill Chambers and his son and daughter Nash and Kasey, along with her gifted songwriter husband Shane Nicholson. I had met the iconic Australian songwriter Mr. Bill Chambers briefly in Melbourne at the Corner Hotel while I was on tour in the spring of 2005. That memorable evening Kasey and Shane were releasing their first album together called Rattling Bones. Their concert was as timeless and soulful as their debut record.I listened to this beautifully crafted album over and over, discovering that is was produced and recorded by Kasey’s brother Nash.
Gregory Page wrote his ‘Shine Shine Shine’ album while on tour in Australia in 2011.
Shane has released seven albums including two with Kasey Chambers, the number one selling ‘Rattlin’ Bones’ (2008) and ‘Wreck & Ruin’ (2012). His most recent solo album was the Top 30 performing ‘Bad Machines’ (2011). Shane is currently working on a new record for 2014.
