Shania Twain has been forced to outright cancel two shows due to illness.

The performances in Manchester, NH and Albany, NY, set for tonight and tomorrow night, will not be rescheduled due to her current touring schedule. According to her management, she is suffering from a respiratory infection.

Her management posted the following on her Facebook page:

Shania Twain’s Rock This Country tour dates at the Verizon Wireless Arena on October 6th in Manchester, NH and the Times Union Center on October 7th in Albany, NY have been cancelled due to illness. Shania Twain’s doctors have advised her to rest for several days after she was diagnosed with a respiratory infection.

The concert dates are unable to be rescheduled due to Shania Twain’s current touring schedule. All tickets will be refunded at point of purchase. Shania Twain apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause her fans and greatly appreciates their understanding.

The tour will resume on October 9th at the Videotron Centre in Quebec City.

Twain has said that her Rock This Country Tour will be her final full trek. She has not ruled out occasional appearances or residencies like the one she did in Las Vegas. Her album Come On Over is listed as the eighth biggest selling in U.S. history at twenty million units. She is sixth on the list of all-time top selling female vocalists behind Barbra Streisand, Madonna, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and Celine Dion.
