Lia and Gemma Sharard are leaving Skyscraper Stan and The Commission Flats.
Skyscraper Stan and the Commission Flats have been a six-piece with the Sharard sisters for the past four years. Lia and Gemma have been an essential part of the touring band.
At the band’s Facebook page Stan posted “Lia heads up the choreography department. Gemma “the Hurricane” Sharard, swears like a sailor, sings like a… sailor. Rumour has it Gemma was never born. That, in fact, she concealed amongst broken glass and bogan blood in the aftermath of a North Melbourne bar fight. Skyscraper Stan, myself. Often mistaken for a mic stand and regularly reduced to tears by the Sharard sisters”.
The Sharard sister performed at Queencliff and Port Fairy Folk Festival’s with Skyscraper Stan but will end it all with a four date run up the east coast of Australia.
