Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne To Renew Wedding Vows

Sharon Osbourne is planning to renew her wedding vows with husband Ozzy.

The couple’s 34-year marriage was rocked earlier this year when it was revealed Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy had an affair with hairdresser Michelle Pugh. Ozzy underwent therapy for sex addiction after news of his infidelity broke and the pair worked through their issues.

Now they are determined to start their marriage again with a clean slate, with Ozzy asking Sharon to say “I do” once again.

“Ozzy has asked me to renew our wedding vows and I’d like to,” Sharon told Britain’s The Sun on Sunday newspaper. “I’m happy and to be honest that’s all I want for Christmas this year.”

Sharon and Ozzy first tied the knot in Maui, Hawaii, on July 4, 1982.

In the wake of Ozzy’s affair revelation, Sharon was able to focus on her various professional pursuits, including her role on U.S. chat show The Talk and her judging position on U.K. talent show The X Factor. However, while she is more than happy with how her career is going, the 64-year-old music matriarch admits her busy work schedule can sometimes take a toll on her personal life.

“In my life, I have been so blessed but when one side of your life is so brilliant other things can suffer. It is hard when you are both successful and both working away,” she added to the publication.

“It is easy to take each other for granted. We have been married for 35 years and been together 38 years. You have to have some ups and downs.”

Sharon also opened up about the twists and turns her life has taken during the live final of The X Factor on Sunday night (December 11). Asked by host Dermot O’Leary what her favorite part of the series had been, Sharon struggled to hold back her tears as she replied: “The X Factor came at a time during my life when I needed to have fun.”

“I can’t tell you what it’s meant to me, I have loved every minute.”
