Sharon Jones Leaves Hospital After Cancer Operation

Sharon Jones has left hospital after her diagnosis with cancer last week.

57-year old Sharon, founder and singer for the Dap Kings found out she had a stage-one tumor on her bile duct but was told it was “operable and curable”.

In a tweet, Jones said, “Out of surgery, and I am feeling better than I ever expected. The nurses at the hospital are taking care of me and I am feeling so grateful”.

Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings have postponed all upcoming dates and delayed the release of the new album ‘Give The People What They Want’ while she recovers.
