Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings will play at your wedding. But only if your name is Martin Scorese and the wedding is in one of your films.
Sharon King & The Dap Kings will soon be seen in Scorese’s new movie ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’.
The band plays a wedding band and performs a cover of the Shirley Bassey James Bond hit ‘Goldfinger’ in the movie.
‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ is about New York stockbroker Jordan Belfort (played by Leonardo DiCaprio) who goes from penny stocks to IPOs in a life of corruption through the 80s and 90s.
Randall Poster was the music supervisor for the movie. He worked previously with Scorese on The Aviator and Hugo. He also oversaw the music for Scorese in Boardwalk Empire and won a Grammy Award for his soundtrack from volume 1.
The legendary Robbie Robertson from The Band was the Executive Producer of the soundtrack.
