Sharon Osbourne has urged people to talk more about “poo”.
The 59-year-old matriarch – who has battled colon cancer in the past – thinks it is important for the public to talk about their bowel movements as it could save their lives.
She said: “No one likes talking about poo but embarrassment won’t kill you – cancer can.”
Sharon is taking part in Britain’s Department of Health’s Be Clear on Cancer campaign, and notes early detection can help save lives.
She added: “The sooner bowel cancer is caught, the more likely the chance of survival. That is why everyone needs to just look out for the symptoms and head straight to the doctor if you are worried about anything. Early detection could save your life.”
TV presenter Sharon is often outspoken about health issues, and recently quit her role on ‘America’s Got Talent’ because she claimed network NBC had “discriminated” against her son Jack by axing him by email from reality show ‘Stars Earn Stripes’, allegedly because of his multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis.
She said: “I just can’t be fake. It’s discrimination and it was badly handled. It’s time to move on.”
