Melbourne singer songwriter Shelley Segal has christened her next EP ‘Strange Feeling’ and will launch the album with a series of dates in her hometown.
‘Strange Feeling’ was recorded at Birdland Studios with Robert Upward and Lindsay Gravina. The lyrics focus on Shelley’s experiences of the past 10 years.
‘Strange Feeling’ will be previewed with the song ‘Sidelined’. “The song is my understanding of the nature of our aesthetics while questioning whether we can overcome them,” Shelley explains. “Subscribing to the visual expectations of others can vastly improve our outcomes, but those that don’t fit will often pay a price or be sidelined.”
Shelley Segal dates
April 18, Melbourne, The Paris Cat
May 24, Melbourne, Caravan Club
May 30, Melbourne, Northcote Social Club
