Sheppard is set to go past triple platinum status for their hit song ‘Geronimo’ in Australia this week.
Platinum is awarded for 70,000 sales in Australia.
‘Geronimo’ has sold 205,064 sales up until close of business on Thursday and sold 14031 downloads last week or approximately 2000 sales a day.
Averaging that momentum into this week ‘Geronimo’ should have sold 211,000 copies until midnight Sunday, pushing it into Triple Platinum status. If not, it is within a day or so of getting there but will definitely hit Triple Platinum sales before the next chart to be published next Saturday night at 7pm.
‘Geronimo’ is the second single from the upcoming album for Sheppard ‘Bombs Away’. The song is currently steaming on iHeartRadio music news powered by noise11.com.
‘Bombs Away’ will be released in July.
