Sheppard will tour Australia with Keith Urban in June in somewhat Queensland double header. Sheppard hail from Brisbane. Urban grew up in Caboolture, 40 minutes north of Brisbane.
Sheppard join the Keith urban tour just as their single ‘Geronimo’ spends its second week at no. 1 on the Australian chart. The second single from Sheppard of a sample of what is to come on the band’s debut album to be released in July.
“The last few weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind for us and now to get this invitation from an artist we respect as much as Keith is so humbling,” said singer George Sheppard. “Keith is one of those artists you look up to as a band starting out in Brisbane. He’s a perfect example of how hard work and tenacity can pay off no matter where you’re from.”
Sheppard’s first single ‘Let Them Down Easy’ sold platinum in Australia.
