Sheryl Crow has used the full force of her telephone contacts to bring in some of the biggest and most legendary names for her new album Threads. She has unveiled rehearsal footage of her new song ‘Live Wire’ with Bonnie Raitt and Mavis Staples.

“All I wanted to do was get Mavis and Bonnie, my two favourite women in rock and roll,” Sheryl says.

‘Your dream has come true,” Mavis Staples responded.

‘Thread’ was recorded at Johnny Cash’s studio in Nashville. The first we heard of the album was when Sheryl debuted her Cash duet of ‘Redemption Day’.

The new album will include guest appearances from Don Henley, Keith Richards, Stevie Nicks, Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, and Maren Morris.

‘Threads’ is expected soon. A release date is yet to be announced.
