Shock launches their new Halfcut label with heavyweight releases from Gallows, Heroes For Hire and While She Sleeps.

It’ll be no surprise to those who know anything about Shock Records that their new label Halfcut Records should do a hell of a job providing heavy music for the masses.
Their first three releases were announced today as they’re from some prime acts: brutal UK hardcore rock outfit Gallows, Sydney pop-punk sensation Heroes For Hire, and British metalcore newcomers While She Sleeps.
The label is the brainchild of Stu Harvey, longtime veteran of the hardcore, punk and metal scenes as a label manager and radio host (and the main man from triplej’s ‘Short.Fast.Loud.’ show).
Shock Records’ GM of Music, Leigh Gruppetta said in a press release, “The punk and heavy music genres are certainly an area we have excelled of late so we believe the time is right to give these bands their own home” and added, “Stu is the best in his field, bar none, so we couldn’t be more excited about the long term future of Halfcut for the business.”
Expect Gallows’ album in late 2012, the third Heroes For Hire album in September, and While She Sleeps’ This Is The Six on August 3, just in time for their Australian co-headline tour with House Vs Hurricane.
