US music label Razor & Tie has signed a distribution deal with Shock Records in Australia for its rock releases.
Under the new deal, albums by P.O.D. and For Today will be the first new releases.
In New York indie has sold over 40 million albums in the US. “All of us at Razor & Tie are excited to be joining forces with our friends at Shock. We have worked together with them on some great projects over the years including our artist All That Remains, so we are pleased to have established this new arrangement with Shock which will include many of our key releases, including the new P.O.D. and For Today albums, as well as the upcoming new albums by All That Remains, The Sword, and others. We look forward to continued success in Australia/New Zealand for Razor & Tie and Shock,” says Razor and Ties SVP of Marketing John Franck.
Shock Records GM of Music, Leigh Gruppetta added, “having enjoyed such a strong working relationship on many individual projects over the years, it made complete sense for both Shock and Razor & Tie to join forces in a broader capacity. Razor & Tie was established in 1990 by 22 years ago by Cliff Chenfeld and Craig Balsam. It also releases the kids record label Kidz Bop, the home of The Wiggles in America.
