A Fender guitar signed by Cold Chisel will be auctioned during the band’s upcoming Sandalford Estate gig at Margret River.
The auction kicked off today and will run until December 1 at 6pm (WST).
A statement from Chisel reads, “the band has been saddened by the fact that so many people have suffered such serious losses in these fires. They hope that the show they played on Saturday night at the Sandalford Estate Margaret River helped lift some spirits, and the auction will help raise a few extra dollars for those who are doing it very tough right now.”
“Cold Chisel have generously agreed to donate and sign this guitar”, says concert promoter John Zaccaria. “We really hope concert patrons and the general public will get on board and bid furiously so we can raise a substantial amount of money. This will be an amazing piece of memorabilia for any fan.”
The winner will be announced on Friday. Funds will be donated directly to the Lord Mayors Distress Relief Fund which has been especially set up to assist victims of the fires.
