Signed Midnight Oil Poster Earns $2300 for the RSPCA

The signed Midnight Oil poster auctioned by Songland Records, Canberra to raise money for the RSPCA Weston has earned the RSPCA $2300.

‘Frog’ Harris of Songland had the poster from his old RCA Records days in the 80s. When Midnight Oil’s tour passed through Canberra, Frog asked Rob Hirst if the band would participate in the fundraiser and they did.

The poster was signed by Peter Garrett, Rob Hirst, Jim Moginie, Martin Rotsey and Bones Hillman.

Bidding started one week ago at $450. In the end, seven bids in total were received rising as $650, $800, $900, $1000, $2000 and then finally finishing with a fresh bidder only known as 140Karl for $2300

All monies raised will go directly to the animals.
