Byron Bay surf rock band Skegss had the number one album in real sales in Australia this week, taking out the ‘experimental’ streaming figure.
In actual over the counter sales, Skegss ‘My Own Mess’ was ahead of Paul McCartney ‘Egypt Station’ and Eminem ‘Kamikaze’.
Skegss is Toby Cregan on bass, Johnny Lani on drums and Ben Reed on lead vocals and guitar. The band formed in 2013 and released their first single ‘L.S.D.’ in 2015. ‘My Own Mess’ is the debut album for Skegss.
Skegss will tour the UK in November.
